Art For A Purpose
The Lady Isabel Foundation is a family foundation supporting non-profits with their charitable outreach and objectives with grant making. The Foundation is funded through the sale of original art and art prints on paper and canvas, with topics that speaks to the four main pillars of The Foundation. The Lady Isabel Art Collection makes only a limited amount of prints available on an annual basis, to ensure exclusivity and status.
The four main pillars of The Foundation, focuses on social justice in the fight against gender-based-and-domestic-violence, homophobia, violence against women and children, mental health awareness, early childhood development and skills development (women and children as a focus point).
The Foundation’s Art Collection, is a curated selection of Fine, Contemporary Art by the global renowned recognized artist, Augustus Caelthorne – The Marquess of Caelthorne, from Caelthorne Art.
Purchasing Art from The Lady Isabel Foundation, is a contribution to a Legacy aimed to raise the bar in building a future that’s not just “better” but for generational advancement. It becomes a collectable, and not just another wall decoration.

Our Story
The Lady Isabel Foundation was established by The Marquess of Caelthorne, Augustus J.N.M. A Fine Artist with a purpose. When Caelthorne’s mother – Isabel Lilian – passed away, the trauma and extreme loss he experienced was life altering. In his attempt to “move on” from her death, Caelthorne started struggling with substance abuse and was submitted to a Mental Health Facility, where he received in-depth and extensive treatment for his loss, grief, and mental health.
Lord Caelthorne made it his duty, from his late mother’s passing, to “heal through healing others” and share her most valuable treasures: love, kindness, compassion, empathy, sympathy and her fight for equality and fairness.
The Lady Isabel Foundation was established with a deeply held personal commitment to social justice and a desire to create sustainable, impactful change in the lives of the deprived and disadvantaged groups and communities. One life, at a time.
The decorative art curated and created by Caelthorne, refers to fragments of his own past (Caelthorne and his sister, together with his late mother are survivors themselves of a very aggressive and violent upbringing) and is testament to his personal relation to every art piece’s narrative.
The Lady Isabel Art Collection is a series of affordable decorative art, where a limited amount of prints will be made available – not just to keep the collection limited because of the narratives and the purpose it serves, but also for you, the collector’s limited addition to your own collection.
“I am Art, and Art is Me. Art is around all of us, the art of designing a house, or a garment, the art of business, the art of raising children, the art of making a change… Most importantly, art in turn creates more art. The Lady Isabel Art Collection, is a work of art itself, as it encourages hope, kindness, love, respect, patience… and hopefully something that each viewer, collector or buyer can relate to, to tell their own story” – Caelthorne.
“We hope that every piece of artwork ignites an act of kindness, however big or small and in turn create a virtuous, positive, impactful and sustainable change, for generations to come”

UBUNTU: I Am Because We Are
UBUNTU , (I am because we are) aligns so uniquely with The Lady Isabel Foundation’s vision:
“By Virtue of Benevolence and Dedication”
VIRTUS EX CAELO was therefore the motto adopted by The Foundation, which translates to “Virtue from the Heavens” which carries a narrative that ties in so beautifully with the classical interpretation of UBUNTU: “Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu” (A person is a person through other people).
Ironically, The Foundations four key pillars, aligns with a strong narrative to the four meanings of UBUNTU: Human interconnectedness; Compassion, generosity, and mutual care; Collective responsibility and dignity; Recognition of each person’s value in the greater community.
In practice, The Lady Isabel Foundation, together with the spirit of UBUNTU, combines the fundamentals of: Sharing even when you have little; Lifting others because you are lifted by them; Seeing yourself in one-another — even in conflict.
A beautiful metaphor that provides a narrative on its own, and befitting to our Contemporary African Art collection, that we now want to share with the world. To bring hope, love, kindness, values, and compassion back to the human race, as much and as far as we can.
